Impressive recreation in a small pack

This was my first-ever Gunpla kit. It was a good learning experience and I was impressed at how close the basic coloring was without the stickers (of which there was a fair amount - for the eyes, the red on the Force backpack's wings, the white and light blue on the shoulders, the light blue on the waist skirt, and the white and red of the shield). Unfortunately, the beam saber blade is not painted and there are no stickers for that part. Stability-wise, the body and limbs hold together well and are fairly flexible enough for posing though making poses without the stand (more on that later) is difficult due to its small stature. The pack doesn't droop, but the way the attachment works looks like it will eventually do so if you keep pulling it out and then putting it back in, not that you'd want to do that anyway. However, for me one of the little wings on top of the backpack is very loose and tends to fall off. This does not happen with the other three. The rifle, shield and saber fit in the hands tightly enough to hold in place but not so tight that it's difficult to pull out. There are also a couple of extras included in this kit. First is a recreation of the Core Splendor (the core fighter equivalent in the Cosmic Era). It is not colored at all and there are no stickers for this part, but it is nice that they included it. The second extra is a little mini-stand you can assemble and put the Gundam on. The fit is stable and it won't suddenly fall back from the weight, so you can pretty much go ham with posing. I don't have any other SD kits so I can't say if the stand fits with any of the older or newer kits. Overall, I highly recommend this kit for builders of all skill levels.
