★★★★★Craving something different? Look no further.

This kit is a refreshing change from your average Gunpla kits. It also feels like a more realistic design. A natural progression for Boston Dynamics style quadrupeds with huge tank cannons. Some of the parts are tiny, but the build is still pretty quick. More complex than an HG, but not as many parts as an RG. Also the little scavenger works well as a multipurpose desk accessory (see pics). To top it off, this kit has some of the best female mini pilot figurines available anywhere.

The photos speak for themselves. I love this kit. Mine isn't even that good compared to what is possible with this resin. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's a lot of work. Yes, it's worth it.

★★★★Hard to justify for the price, but versatile!
January 5, 2022

The MG Duel Gundam Assault Shroud is a highly detailed kit already. Regardless, Topless Studio has attempted to up the ante with these resin upgrade parts. Unfortunately, the main issue with this resin is the nubs. They are thick, hard to cut through, and very poorly placed. Some of them are embedded in corners of the external armor and require inconceivable skill to be removed without damaging the parts. Additionally, in many cases the parts are only slightly more detailed than those in the Bandai kit. This makes it hard to justify the cost of this purchase. However, the decals and packaging provided by Topless are quite nice, with large, beautiful photos of the target build. The decals are not generic. They are kit-specific and exactly as shown in the marketing photos. I will post more photos when I have completed the build. Edit: one major plus for this kit is that it is potentially somewhat compatible with any MG “Strike” frame. Obviously, this would require some ingenuity, but if you can’t find the MG Duel anywhere, most of the parts would work on any Master Grade “GAT-X” mobile suit.

★★★★★Goku Gundam

This is the Super Saiyan of Gundam designs. I don’t even like Gundam SEED, but this kit is just dope. However, some of the peices are very fragile. Watch out when trimming on the chest and calves especially. The shoulders are also very fragile.

★★★★★Perfect for any EFSF mobile suit.
May 30, 2021

I’ve bought a lot of decals but this set is probably my favorite. Three sheets of EFSF decals. The only reason I didn’t give this product a perfect score is that the G-Rework decals sometimes peel and shrivel up if you let them soak for too long. The official Bandai decals and Delpi Decals don’t seem to have this problem.

★★★★★Best model kit for under $20
February 27, 2021

This is the absolute best-looking kit on the market for less than $20. The proportions and details on this little Exia-type are just perfect. My only complaint is that the shield falls off the arm rather easily.

★★★★SH Studio Resin is slightly lower quality
February 27, 2021

SH Studio resin kits just don’t have the same level of quality as Fortune Meow or YujiaoLand. Unfortunately despite this, they are still pretty expensive. I haven’t started building this kit yet, but after inspecting the parts I can already tell it’s going to be quite the ordeal. The resin is a little crusty and will require a lot of clipping, sanding, and re-scribing. Resin kits are always a lot of work, but it’s hard to justify this one at such a high price when compared to the competition. However, the parts do have very nice details and I’m still really excited about how they will look on my FAZZ. This kit also comes with some nice waterslide decals. There are a couple metal parts too. One is a “chaingun” style ammo belt, which looks cool but doesn’t really make sense coming out of a hyper mega beam cannon. The other is a tacky looking mesh tube which goes around the waist. Overall, I do recommend this product, but definitely not if this is your first time working with resin. For that I’d say to choose something from Fortune Meow.

★★★★★Magnificent resin!
February 27, 2021

This is the highest quality resin I’ve ever seen. The parts had zero imperfections. In order to achieve good results, use black primer, then clip off the nubs and apply surfacer again.

The kit comes with several hand options. Fists, shooting poses, and open palm. The fingers are non-articulated, which is my preference. The hand armor looks much cooler than the default square design in the MG kit.
