This kit was larger than I expected for an HG kit, but that meant I could do some customization to it. The parts separation was nice, and made painting a lot easier because I didn’t have to mask off as much to show color variation on parts. It poses well, looks good, and is nicer than quite a few HG models I have built.

This was my first RE 100 kit, and I was surprised by how simple it was to assemble for its size. The good thing is it looks good already, but it has plenty of surface for customization. I have both versions, and both were fun to build. They may not have a lot of gimmicks or moving parts compared to the average MG kits, but that makes them a nice bridge between an HG and MG.

This kit is well made, other than the extra leg armor not wanting to stay in place on my kit anyways. I always enjoy building special versions of mobile suits. The colors and molds are great, with just enough space for panel lining if you want, but it isn’t necessary. All said, I enjoyed the build, it looks good, poses well, and can stand on its own.

The kit was amazingly simple given its size. The pieces all fit together well and it held itself up no problem. It has a great amount of detail under the wings, skirt and head. My only issue was that the molding for the thrusters on the rear skirt were defective from the factory. There is a small section missing from one of the two largest thrusters on the very rear of the unit.
