Let me start with the things I consider bad. It's missing some things I would expect from a 2014 mastergrade kit that were included in the high grade version from 2021. First the hidden arms are stationary pieces which doesn't matter because it doesn't come with any beam saber hilts. Second the binders cannot be folded in like the HG but can be rotated. Third the shoulders are stationary as well. Now on to the good things. First is the shelf presence of this thing is ridiculous. Nearly twelve inches tall by nineteen inches wide by twenty inches deep (twelve inches without the large beam rifle) Second it was an extremely easy kit to build (took me about four hours to do a straight build) with a lot of under gating on the armor pieces (with a few minor exceptions) Third it can take a Bandai green LED unit for the monoeye (which is not included) Only issue is the piece the head is attached to is difficult to remove. Fourth the hands are fully articulated and were actually not loose at all. They even hold weapons good. As for weapons it comes with a large beam rifle and a double sided beam axe. This thing is as posable as the HG meaning it's just as much of brick.

It looks great when finished and isn't a glass hand grenade. Getting there was a rewarding experience with exception to the legs because the instructions were bad for that section. It can stand on it's own but is very wobbly. I recommend using an action base. Action base one worked the best. The lighting gimmicks in the shoulder condensers are cool and come pre built with batteries. The motors are pretty loud once they get up to speed and are a little dim but overall a neat effect. One bad thing is putting the side binder and half the shield next to the shoulder condenser usually activates it because looking at it wrong activates them. The head led would be great except the eye stickers block the light. I would've left the sticker off but the piece it goes on is clear so without them it looks weird. The LED only shines as a green dot the size of the LED through the side pieces and is pretty dim. It does have stickers covering the side pieces (It is as bright as any of my other green LEDs outside the head) so altogether the LED in the head feels like a waste. The positive side: It is a free green LED with batteries. As for how sturdy is this kit when built? Like a rock! The GN condenser gimmick in the joints makes the joints extremely solid but still very posable. They are located in the ankles, knees, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. I was skeptical when I bought it but I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed building this kit (with exception to the legs) and definitely recommend it.

This kit is beautiful when finished and the build process was pretty straightforward. The wing span is two feet! The included stand is sturdy. The eyes have no stickers covering them and the included yellow LED shines through beautifully. Only problem was attaching the super dragoons but that was a skill issue on my end. The spring loaded gimmick for the super dragoons is awesome just sensitive if you want them to stay in the stored position. I was expecting greatness and I was not disappointed. I wholeheartedly recommend this kit.

Bought a bunch of kits from this line and so far this is my favorite of the eight kits I've built, mainly because of all the attachment points (six in total) and the legs being a little more stable than the Reiki or Kenbu. The legs are a little weird compared to the Reiki or the Kenbu but they are easier for posing in my opinion because they properly swivel at the ankle to allow for more dynamic poses. Also the stickers are not horrible but the gray sticker on each leg is too small.

So this kit is great but beware this kit does not come with stickers for the cameras on the guns. It is supposed to be that way according to the manual. Not a huge problem but kind of odd given each gun camera has one when they come in their normal kit. Also the large double barrel sniper, weapon carrying backpack, the super heated claws, and the gun with the drum can only be used by the MAILes Kenbu, Byakuchi (normal and FGE color versions not the drill and claw arm version), Reiki, Jogan, Kenbu zan, Reiki kai, and Jogan kai.

Holds paint good. There is about an 1/8 inch (~3mm) gap between the bottle and back of the holder. I don't recommend stacking above 4 layers unless you can secure it to the wall. Also it can hold tamiya panel line bottles but it has to be modified with pliers a little.

It was a straight forward build for the most part. I'm happy I bought it. It comes with fully posable hands for both sides along with pieces for clenched fists, trigger hands, and beam saber/ grip hands. The green LED unit looks awesome. My first gripe with this kit is the joint connecting the leg and hip. Be careful when positioning with the joint because they have a tendency to come loose. My second gripe is connecting the leg thrusters from the ballute pack. The connection is weak but is easily fixed with some glue.

This is a good kit for anyone who likes specialized grunt units. Only issue I had was with getting the sniper up to the shoulder because the right hand is angled making it mildly difficult to do without the hand falling off. Beyond that a fun and easy build.

Approximately eight to ten hours. Left one on overnight to see how long they last.
May 26, 2025It's a mediocre to okay kit but it has stability issues and if you put the mace or the smoothbore gun on it's back good luck if you aren't using a stand. The waist is terrible because it is held together with a single loose (at least on the one I have) ball joint. The hands are not posable and that causes problem when trying to pose the smoothbore gun. The extra parts from premium Bandai to recreate several different forms just adds to the stability issues.
February 17, 2025No. That is actually a separate kit. HGUC number is 178 for green psycho frame and 199 is the red psycho frame. The odd thing is 178 doesn't come with the beam halberd.
February 17, 2025Just came back into stock today (8/31/2024)
August 31, 2024The base plate is a clear action base 5 with a clear action base 4 support. Each funnel is attached to a smaller support (like those included with the MG Nu and high nu ver. Ka) with a 3mm plug on one side that will be used to attach to the support. There is 1 support per action base 4. Then the funnel I believe is attached to the support via a 3mm plug also included with Action base 4. Honestly this method should be compatible with the figure rise effect jet effect. Only concern would be weight on those supports. Hope this information helps you.
June 28, 2024It is currently in stock.
March 16, 2024It does for the head which are connected to the batteries in the backpack. It is very finnicky and it was not a good time to get working properly. Just a word a warning.
January 21, 2024It does not. The best stand set to purchase is the wfm weapon display base.
December 30, 2023The funnel launching effect pieces are a pbandai kit.
December 30, 2023It is the regular red frame with exception to the fact that it does not come with the normal back pack, rifle, or shield.
