If you have some area(s) you want a little extra POP then get this pen. It goes one easy, cleans up fast with a bit of alcohol, and looks great. EDIT: having used this pen for several months [close to a year] I have to say it loses it's shine after a while. What I mean is that the pen kind of "erodes" or breaks down to the point that when you use it the shine is not the same. It basically looks like a regular silver, and not a shiny chrome.

You don't realize how often you need to take two pieces apart until you've bought this, and use it. Works fantastic. Buy it.

I recently got into using an airbrush, specifically to do top coating on my kits with waterslide decals. I was gifted an old airbrush by the brand "Master[?]" from my father in law after he stopped doing 40k minis. It worked enough for me to learn, but finally gave up the ghost this past week. I picked up this one, and holy cow. I had no idea how bad the old one I had was until I got this one. Worth it.

It's not as bad as reputed. It's not a grenade, because it does not have parts falling off. It's fragile for sure, because of the transformation gimmick, but the tech they used to make it that way is interesting. Take your time, and it isn't so bad. It doesn't build up like a regular kit, so it's a fun build IMO.

Aside from the numbers you won't be left with very many extra decals. Otherwise they look great, and come off the backing super easy.

The only down side to this kit IMO is that the hips don't have a whole lot of range of motion out to the side, or rotation. Other than that it's solid as a rock, builds up nicely, and there's only 1 area for color correction (on the backpack "wing" area). Nub marks are almost non-existent thanks to the placement of the gates (almost under-gating). You get separating knee armor which was a welcome surprise. Overall it looks cool if you are a fan of the vagan mobile suit designs.

The build on this isn't all that bad. The only weird part is the blue pieces that go over the joint connecting the wings on the backpack don't snap together flush. There's a small gap between them on both sides. Seems intentional, but not 100% sure. Out of the box the shoulder joints are/were loose, so they need to be dealt with if you want it holding anything upright. The kit CAN stand on it's own if you spread the wings wide out to it's sides. Otherwise it's a good looking kit, but it's also an early RG, so give it some TLC if you plan on posing it around a bunch, or set it, and forget it.

It's a pretty straightforward build, nothing too out there. The shield gatling has some really nice detail. Articulation isn't the greatest, so it'll kinda do what you want it to. Pose it up high over some guntanks, and enjoy.

Being from 2001 this kit isn't very complex, or detailed. It's kind of nice to have a simple build like this though. Hopefully we get a 2.0 at some point, because the Guncannon deserves it.

Great build. Definitely will solve the "double appendage" fatigue in that you don't have to build two arm, and two legs. Solid as a rock, and great articulation with the exception of the hands. The individual finger joints make for some expressive gestures, but the joints run a risk of popping off. Specifically the last digit on one of the pinky fingers popped off while posing, and not it's easily knocked off. Otherwise it's fantastic, and deserves your time & energy.

Would this light gray work for panel lining on dark colors like black, or deep blue?
August 11, 20221 Answer:
I used it to panel line the deep blue ZGMF engraving on that comes on the MG Freedom Gundam. It worked well enough I could read the engraving much easier, but not to the extent a white panel liner would if it existed. This is the best we'll get for now I think

Yes, and no. The plastic is molded in the associated colors, so it is not painted.
February 24, 2025The kit itself is being reprinted in December, so I would imagine they will have some shortly afterwards.
