I have built the Revive version, however I enjoyed the build on this one much more. Great color separation. I painted the blue parts because the blue was a bit too pale for me. Also ended up painting the gun black metallic.

I use the metallic black a lot and I do like it. As for the metallic orange for some reason anytime I touch it it pops off so I’m gonna have to use a topcoat either gloss or semi gloss or matte in order for that to stay on.
This is an interesting kit because you can detail it up and make it look nice or you could just put it together. The kit will look nice with a panel liner marker. You basically do not need nippers for this thing. The plastic is made of such that you can scratch off the nubs with your fingernails. This kit is very articulated and you can get tons of different poses with it. It is lacking the detail of a high grade model though. So if you had a choice between this and the revive version I would definitely go with the revive however this is a fun little build regardless because it’s very ingeniously made, so you don’t have to paint anything. The colors on it are very true to the original Mobile Suit Gundam show that appeared in 1979.

I decided to get this after building Gundam Heavyarms. It is a much simpler build, but is a lot of fun. When attaching the arms and legs turn them in a circular motion and they will pop right in. I used a Gundam panel liner and used the stickers. The greenish white of the claws and sticker give it a cool marine feel. You can’t beat this kit for the price.
