★★★☆☆Good color, after multiple coats.
October 16, 2025

As the title states, it does look good, but it takes multiple coats to get it truly opaque. That said, I should provide some context: I use markers like these over gloss coated painted armor for easy detailing. Maybe it's the gloss, but it takes about 3 coats for me to see good coverage with these markers. Haven't tried it on bare plastic or primer/matte coat, so who knows, it might work better in those circumstances.

★★★★Beautiful, but...

Incredible coverage, looks amazing, but the metal particles are very persistent in my airbrush. Usually it requires a full breakdown and deep cleaning of the nozzle and needle to ensure that those metal particles don't infect other colors while painting.

★★★★Great Build, Awful Stickers
November 8, 2024

Build process was great, but the real issues happened after completion; the elbow joints notoriously separate on their own by just moving the arm, and there were tons of sticky-outy bits that felt like they'd fall off with a gentle breeze, so I had to cement a fair amount of surface details parts. Articulation is not great, especially in the arms and legs, but this kit is clearly meant to be displayed, and not played with or posed a whole ton. To this day, I still don't know why the instructions incentivize builders to apply stickers *after* the build is done, and these stickers are terrible. Stiff, obvious borders, and if you mess it up, they'll fly off your tweezers, never to be seen again. I wish some third party group would make waterslides for this kit, but it is what it is. On the growing list of grievances, the large beam halberd barely stays together, and I had to also glue some parts of that together as well. It has an imposing shelf presence, but if you want to display it in full glory, be prepared to clear some space, as it takes up a lot of real estate with the boosters attached. Overall, good build, typical Unicorn issues, but as a display piece, it's awesome.

★★☆☆☆Pop pop pop...
July 29, 2024

...goes the parts on this kit. Nothing holds together, I've never had to glue so many parts. The straw that broke my back though is the elbow joints; they simply will not stay together. If you bend them, on mine specifically the left arm, the joint just separates on its own, making it unposable. The only reason it doesn't get 1 star is that it looks sick as heck (really? won't let me type 'h-e- double hockey-sticks?)

★★★★★Turn it up, Dijeh!
April 2, 2024

Delpi did a great job with these decals, very nicely detailed, and easy to use, they slid off the paper in under a minute, and adhered nicely. Really makes the Dijeh pop. You need to use Delpi's website for mark placement, and they do a good job of showing you where to place things. Overall, as a Dijeh fan, I love these, and I think you'll love 'em, too.

★★★★★The Duality of Man

Unlike my detractor here in the reviews section, my Shaldoll didn't have any weak joint issues at all. It's stable out of box with no wiggle. And it can hold its beam saber in reverse grip mode! Stickers were a breeze to apply, and the build itself was overall very enjoyable. Stands out well with its bright green amongst the other grunts. If you, too, are a based Shaldoll appreciator, you should get this kit.

★★☆☆☆More Like Barbatos Loose-us
February 24, 2024

Probably the least enjoyable kit I've completed, the waist joint is so loose, it literally wobbles, and as a result, it can barely support its own weight. Wrist joints also fall off with little resistance, and the same can be said of the head joint. If you want this nice and tight, put some superglue on the ball joints so they fight a little tighter into the sockets. OOB, this kit needs a lot of TLC to feel up to par with even older HG kits. Great baseline for customization, though.

★★★☆☆I don't regret building this kit, but...
January 9, 2024

I DO regret buying it. This kit very aged, and it shows. Articulation is pretty lacking, especially compared to the HG kits of modern day, you're going to want to paint this in order for it to really shine. That said, posability is very nice, and it can support its own weight surprisingly easily. Still, seam lines are everywhere. For a $10 kit, you get what you pay for, and if you want this kit to look good, extra work beyond nipping, sanding, and snapping is necessary. I still like it, though. In that ugly, dumb puppy kind of way. It's hard to describe; I almost find some strange beauty in how simple the kit design is, I dunno.

★★★★An excellent rendition of the RX-178
December 31, 2023

This was just a treat to build, and any fan of Zeta, or the Mk II, owes it to themselves to build this kit. Surprisingly good articulation, and most of the weapons can be stored right on the kit itself. Not a lot of visible seam lines, and mold lines are also minimal, so it looks great even without any extra painting or customization. My only reason for dinging it a star is due to the weak joints in the left leg, primarily, the ankle joint. It's so loose, in fact, that it makes most basic standing poses very challenging. Still, nothing a little superglue can't fix.

★★★★Almost Perfect

Fantastic kit, and a great representation of the Zaku. this is only my second kit, but I could definitely tell something was off with the shoulder joints and right wrist, they just feel pretty loose. That aside, the color looks spot on, and has a bunch of cool accessories. I'd recommend it for any fan of the Zaku!

Can this rack fit Tamiya 23ml jars? If so, how many?

1 Answer:

Since the separators are independently movable, the big Tamiya jars should fit. But it will most likely drastically cut the number of bottles in a drawer.

How does this compare to Mr. Color Leveling Thinner, and Mr. Color Rapid Thinner? Can this be used for Mr. Color and/or Tamiya acrylic paints for airbrushing?

February 9, 2025

1 Answer:

This is Gaia's equivalent of Mr. Color Thinner. No retarders or accelerants in this. This will work with Mr. Color lacquers. Tamiya acrylics are best thinned with acrylic thinners (X-20A) or water (for longer drying times and improved paint leveling).

June 7, 2025

Yes, as long as it is PS plastic and not ABS plastic. It's advised to not do this on completed models, panel line them either on the runner, or after you clipped them out. Do not assemble until after the panel lining has dried and has been cleaned according to your preference.
